On a red field two horizontal white stripes (top and bottom) and a diamond shaped swastika on a (diamond-shaped) white field. The top and bottom of the swastika touch the top and bottom respectively of the white stripes. Surrounded by a silver fringe (except at hoist). (Color of the rectangle on canton uncertain).

NSD is derived from (N)ational-(S)ozialistischer (D)eutscher Studentenbund which translates as "National Socialist German Student Union."

This is a flag taken from a german propaganda poster. The caption identify it as having been made in the 1930s. The flag for the NSD-Studentenbundes is a simple affair with the logo centered on a red field, the logo being a variation on the swastika (black with a white diamond, 2 quarter containing red). The logo is indeed supposed to be stretched and not an effect of the flag flapping as the flag bearer wears a tiepin that is identical.

Similar, but not identical, to the colour we have in top of this page.
